Liu Bao – tea with a strong and distinctive character. Its aroma plunges into the dense space of associations, memories and living images. It’s great that there is tea that gives such an experience of internal travel. The dry aroma is woody, and in a brewed form, very pleasant nutty shades appear. The taste is thick and soft, easy to drink. The color of the infusion is very dark in all, close to shu pu-erh.
This special variety, originally produced in the eponymous village of the autonomous region of Guangxi, has a history of 1500 years. Initially, it was cultivated exclusively in one place, without pretending to anything, however, during the Jiaqing period (1796-1820), it gained popularity due to the peculiar scent of betel palm.
